I’ve made a series of poor choices in my life, many of which were heavily influenced by the curse of addiction. I continue to work on bettering my life, and part of that involves cleaning up the wreckage of my past.Recently, I discovered I had outstanding warrants from 2009. I initially thought I it was just a paperwork issue I could handle on my own, but I was wrong. By trying to manage it myself, I ended up violating probation, with another 1.5 years hanging over my head. I’ve never been arrested, and I’ve never even had issues with traffic tickets.During the Christmas season, I had a little side hustle where I sold replica AirPods that were definitely fake. Honestly, it was hard to believe anyone didn’t know they weren’t real because I was selling them for $30–$50 each. My customers loved them, kept coming back, and even sent me referrals. If someone asked if they were fake, I’d just tell them to try them out and let me know what they thought. They’d test them, like them, and buy them. If they broke, I’d replace them for free. I convinced myself I was doing a good service.Did I think I was doing something wrong? Honestly, I had convinced myself that I wasn’t. But that didn’t matter—what I was doing was wrong. One day, I was arrested in an undercover sting operation after selling about $400 worth of AirPods to a plainclothes police officer. They said the value was worth more than $3,000 if they were real. That led to me being taken to the police station, booked, and charged with a felony. Yes—a felony. Mugshot and everything. I bailed myself out, but I was completely humiliated.I have a life insurance license that I’ve held for years, and suddenly I was terrified I’d lose it. I also thought I was going to lose my job. I’d never felt so alone. I was embarrassed to tell anyone, extremely anxious, and I couldn’t even focus on work. On top of that, I had to report the arrest to the Department of Insurance. The thought of losing my career and everything I had worked for was crushing.I reached out to a few different lawyers for consultations, but none of them made me feel comfortable. Then I called Jeff. From the very first appointment, he made me feel good about the situation and reassured me that he’d do his best. And he did better than that—he got my entire case dismissed in just a few months! Normally, this would have taken 6 months to a year (or longer), but Jeff made it happen in under 5 months. That’s unbelievable.I was expecting the worst, but Jeff stayed positive and kept me calm and informed every step of the way. In the end, I didn’t have to pay any restitution at all. All I had to do was complete 10 hours of community service. That was it. And now, I don’t have to report this arrest anywhere on any application. I can legally answer “NO, I HAVE NOT BEEN ARRESTED.” I have a clean record as if nothing ever happened—and I’m so thankful for that.Integrity and ethics mean everything, and I let that slip for a moment when I was chasing extra Christmas money. Not all money is good money, and I’ve learned my lesson the hard way. But I’m so thankful that Jeff gave me another chance. He’s patient, calm, and answered all my questions (even when I asked the same one over and over). I walked into his office a nervous wreck, but he always made me feel comfortable.And this is important: I saw Jeff before those long months of fear set in. If I hadn’t, I don’t know how I would’ve made it through. February 13, 2020 I called on Mr. Kent to inquire about defending my son who had been charged with assault on a minor, which to our mind was a great overstatement for a family scuffle. The name of the charge makes it sound horrible. At our first meeting Jeff put it in perspective, and was able to speak with my son in a calm reassuring but realistic manner, and best of all, to listen attentively and with great understanding. This went a long way to give us confidence. Further, his follow through with the details of the case and reduction of the charge to simple battery was most gratifying. We found Mr. Kent to be very professional, knowledgeable, a great listener and negotiator. It is without hesitation that I highly recommend The Kent Law Firm.
May 30, 2019 Jeff was able to turn my felonies into misdemeanors, and I walked away with no jail time. He is a straightforward kind of guy who fights for the best case scenario for his clients. Don’t Hesitate just hire him.
May 14, 2019 Jeff completed my case with the charges being dismissed and my arrest reduced to a detainment only. He accomplished all of this without me ever setting foot inside a court room and without additional cost beyond the retainer fee. He also assisted by brother in other actions all with favorable results.
April 23, 2019 Jeff worked hard and to get my granddaughter the best deal possible. She was in serious trouble and very emotional the first time that she talked to Jeff. Jeff was very patient with her and gave her excellent advice. There was no way that she was NOT going to prison, but Jeff did his best to keep her calm while keeping her family informed. In the end, Jeff was able to get her sentence reduced to 12 years, opposed to the life sentence that appeared to be in her future. I hope that our family never needs a lawyer again, but if we do we will definitely call Jeff.

April 13, 2018 Long story short, got a dui over 0.25. It was one of the worst mistakes and I was panicking I was going to jail. Jeff Kent is extremely easy to talk too and he assured me to keep calm. In the end he worked his magic and I got no jail time, with a detailed list of what I must do. I was required to do 80hours of community service but I needed two more days. I asked him if there was anything I could do, and he was able to give me an extension. He saved me twice! I have nothing but praise for him! Thank you! Highly recommend. 10/10

To life in prison for 23 violent felony counts each charge carrying a strike and a min.of 5yrs. Per charge he got me out of jail with only 1 strike and 6 months.in jail i would definitely recommend him to anyone that's in a similar situation as I was.

October 21, 2016 Jeff came through for me big time. Things could have gone a completely different dirrection for me had I not retained his services. I was on probation for an incident that took place nearly 5 years ago, and because of that I could have been in some serious trouble after being involved in a minor incident which violated that probation agreement. After many months of uncertainty Jeff was eventually able to get the case dismissed as well as the probation violation. He could have easily tried to reach a plea agreement and be done with my case, but instead he fought for me for nearly a year, and in the end he was able to get me the best possible result we had initialy hoped for.
